San Diego

Grant had his first big trip this weekend!  We found a specialist in San Diego for a second opinion on his tongue tie, and they got us right in on Monday, so we packed up and off we went. 

We left Sunday, and didn't do too bad for driving all that way with a 5 week old.  What should have been a 6 hour drive was an 8 hour drive each way...not too bad. 

San Diego is so fun, not to mention the weather was amazing.  We have had unbearable heat this August so it was nice just to be outside walking around.  We went to the beach and Grant had his first feel of the Pacific Ocean.  We just relaxed and toured around.   Monday afternoon was our appointment, and they confirmed the tongue tie and fixed it right then and there...no big deal.  We were in and out of there in an hour...hopefully the feeding issues start to resolve themselves soon with that being fixed.  

We went out to dinner with the little guy, and ate at a little place right on the beach, during sunset.  So nice.  

We took off Tuesday morning for home so that Jeff could get back to teach his class on Tuesday night.

I think overall it went pretty well. The car was completely packed to the gills with all of our stuff...amazing how a little baby needs so much stuff for just 2 nights!
