Things have been busy around here...

I got back about a week ago yesterday and have been busy! I guess its good, to keep my mind off of things at home. Overall, it was good to be home, and spend time with everyone. The trip home definately had a different focus this time. My Bible study group is studying Captivating, and it this week we talked about being present and engaged when you are spending time with people. I feel like this trip home refocused me a little bit, and forced me to be present and engaged. I had some great time with my mom and grandma, and that was so special. I just need to keep being present and engaged as everyday life resumes!

I got back and right back to the daily grind, with the exception of our new little adopted dog, Jack. It was good to be back. I worked this weekend and we are looking forward to a relaxing weekend coming up!

We did have a few fun days this weekend! We took Jack over to meet Trina's dog, Danger, who was so excited to play! Jack was a little more reserved, and it took him some time to warm up. They got playing though, and he slept all the way home and through until after breakfast on Saturday morning. On Sunday, we went over to Jamie and Brandon's to meet Sunni. Jack and Sunni played the whole time we were there. Jack came home dirty and needed a bath from playing in the backyard. He's been one tired dog for the past few days. He has been so good...he warms up our house! He is so loving, happy, and playful. When its time for bed, he goes right into his kennel and lays down, and we don't hear a peep out of him until we get up in the morning. He stays in the kennel while we are gone too, though we don't leave him for more than 4-5 hours. He has gone to the vet and they all love him there! He has such a personality. He knows his basic commands, sit, stay, and lay down. He is pretty smart, and when we are out for a walk, he can lead us home.

Jeff got him while I was still home, and his mom was here. That was really good, she helped him get all settled. So, both of our moms got to meet him! I can't wait to bring him home to meet more family..he is too cute, and he steals your heart.
